The area of Mâcon: a so romantic landscape!

The frensh poet Alphonse de Lamartine was born in Mâcon and grew up in the region. The greenish hills where one of the most famous the vineyards produce very good wines, inspired so much the writer that the landscapes seem to be envelopped in poetry! The Solutré Rock is also very famous in France, it overhangs the Saone Valley. The tour can include the visit of castles in the region or wine tasting: Pierreclos, Milly-Lamartine, Saint-Point. It lasts a day (6 hours). A car or coach in required.
